This monumental bronze sculpture stands 28 feet tall and is over twice life-size. It stands on the riverfront in Muscatine, Iowa and was commissioned by that City as part of a riverfront revitalization.
This 28 foot tall bronze sculpture of a clammer commemmorates the clamming industry along the Muscatine, Iowa riverfront that once thrived a century ago. The trade provided clamshells for the production of pearl buttons that were sold around the world.
